Kuwait announced the disruption of multiple Hezbollah cells since the Islamic regime began attacking Gulf countries.
Kuwait arrested 24 people alleged to have financed terrorist groups and threatened the security of the state, the country’s Interior Ministry announced on Saturday, sharing footage of evidence that included photos of deceased senior figures from Iranian and Hezbollah leadership.
Eight of those arrested, including one who formerly held Kuwaiti citizenship, were said to have raised funds under religious pretexts and held the capital with the intention of sending money to terrorist entities abroad.
Five former Kuwaiti lawmakers were among those detained, a security source told Agence France-Presse.

Since the Islamic regime began attacking Gulf countries, Kuwait has announced the disruption of multiple Hezbollah cells.
In March, the country announced charges against six members of the terrorist organization who were allegedly planning assassinations across the Gulf.
The Iran-backed group has repeatedly denied having a presence in Kuwait, claiming in a March statement that the accusations were “removed from reality and devoid of truth.”
