Jason Whitlock: I’ve been talking about like hey man uh the white boys are taking over basketball that you know Illinois got all these white dudes this Mullins from Connecticut then you look at the NBA and Cooper Flagg and Jokic, and all of this other stuff… What’s your take on the exciting whites in basketball? Kwame Brown: I predicted this a couple years ago. The whole league is moving Euro. I said this. I said they’re taking away the ability to impose your will. There’s not going to be any more Reggie Evans that’s going to come in and impose his will, get 20 rebounds and knock guy around. They’re taking that. They’re making it more skill-based. And a lot of these guys, they have skills, they don’t have to be rough and tumble anymore. They can sit out, load manage. I think it’s going to be it’s going to be the Euro and the white league, because some of us black players, it’s always too much that come with our superstar guys outside of LeBron James, Steph Curry, maybe KD. A lot of our superstar guys, they come with a lot of baggage. I don’t I don’t want to bring up any other players that got in trouble because I got in trouble myself, but and myself included, we come with baggage. And so a lot of these European players, they come with a whole country behind them. Think about the advertising dollars that Luka Doncic is creating, being the top of the league. We saw the thing with Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin wasn’t even a top player in our league, but he sold out arenas all over. It was Linsanity. So, they’re looking at it from an advertisement standpoint. Why would we get that little kid from the hood that the black community is not really going to um promote and push anyway? They’re going to be divided on talking about them and disrespecting them and every other community is not going to push them. So, why would we go for that kid instead of a kid from Venezuela or any other country, Mexico? They’re going to get an entire country that supports them. We don’t support each other.

And so the old-school players wouldn’t have any trouble with LeBron because, at 39, he should have developed a mid-range and a post game, and he still hasn’t yet. He still has the athletic ability to just go 94 feet — which, I don’t know how, but he still has it. But if he didn’t have this athleticism, his game really hasn’t evolved outside of a three and putting his head down and going to the basket.
