LeBron James has one more historic all-time record to add to his ledger.

No one in NBA history has ever made more shots from the floor than James.
On Thursday night, he became the league’s all-time leader in made field goals. He made his 15,838th shot from the floor to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-standing record.

Ironically, this wasn’t that different a shot than the one James took that passed Kareem on the all-time scoring list. That one was in the lane, but both had the fadeaway jumper element to them.
Regardless, it’s just one more feat proving how James is unlike any player that has ever come before him.

He’s 41 years old, but he’s totally comfortable out there with an essentially full workload.
And clearly, when James wants to get to his spot and score, he can do that. He wasted no time making it happen on Thursday night when he got a matchup he liked.
Just like James’ all-time scoring record, which he has pushed further and further ahead of everyone else, this all-time field goals mark will become tough to ever catch.
James is also closing in on becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in games played.
There’s never been anyone like LeBron, no matter how you feel about him. Even the closing stages of his career are filled with absolute greatness.
