The off-court spotlight surrounding Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić intensified this week after his longtime partner filed a legal petition seeking child support for the couple’s two children — a development that surfaced alongside growing speculation about their relationship.

According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Dončić’s fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, filed a petition in the United States seeking child support and attorney fees related to the pair’s two minor children.

The filing does not request custody orders, focusing only on financial support arrangements.

Anamaria Goltes Files Child Support Petition

The documents reportedly state that Goltes moved back to Slovenia in May of last year and that the children have remained with her since then.

That includes the couple’s youngest daughter, who was born in December 2025.

Dončić was present for the birth, even missing a Lakers road game in Toronto in December to travel to Slovenia for the occasion.

The reason for the filing has not been publicly clarified. In some cases, such petitions are filed to formally establish financial arrangements within the U.S. legal system even when parents remain cooperative.

Dončić and Goltes have been together since 2016, making their relationship one of the longest-running among NBA stars.

The couple became engaged on July 7, 2023, when Dončić proposed.

They welcomed their first daughter, Gabriela, on November 30, 2023, and their second daughter, Olivia, on December 4, 2025. Dončić traveled to Slovenia for the birth of their youngest child.

Slovenian Reports Fuel Breakup Speculation

The legal filing has also surfaced amid unconfirmed reports in Slovenia suggesting the couple may have separated months ago.

Several Slovenian media outlets, including Siol.net, have reported that rumors about a possible breakup have circulated in recent weeks. Neither Dončić nor Goltes has publicly confirmed those reports.

The speculation intensified after social media users noticed changes to Goltes’ Instagram account, including the removal of several photos featuring Dončić.

Slovenian outlets have suggested the pair may have separated sometime after Dončić’s blockbuster trade to the Lakers last year, though those claims remain unverified.

Until either Dončić or Goltes addresses the situation publicly, the reports remain speculation.

NBA Recently Fined Lakers Star Luka Dončić $50,000

The off-court news follows another recent headline involving Dončić.

The NBA fined him $50,000 after determining he directed an “inappropriate and unprofessional gesture” toward a referee during the Lakers’ 110–97 victory over the New York Knicks.

The incident occurred late in the third quarter when Dončić attempted to draw a charge against Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara but was called for a blocking foul.

While still on the floor after the play, Dončić rubbed his fingers together in what appeared to be a “money” gesture toward referee Tre Maddox.

Despite the controversy, Dončić finished the game with 35 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The fine adds to a season-long pattern of confrontations with NBA officials.

Through 54 games, Dončić has accumulated 15 technical fouls, leaving him just one technical away from an automatic one-game suspension under league rules.

With the Lakers battling for playoff positioning and Dončić’s personal life now drawing headlines as well, the spotlight surrounding the five-time All-NBA guard shows no signs of fading.

Dončić’s Personal News Emerges During Lakers Playoff Push

The personal developments come during a crucial stretch of the season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers hold a 39–25 record, currently sitting fifth in the Western Conference standings. They only have a half-game lead over the Denver Nuggets, underscoring how tight the playoff race remains entering the final weeks of the regular season.
