Bronny James was back on the floor for the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday alongside his father, LeBron James.
After recently spending time in the NBA G League with the South Bay Lakers, Bronny James was called back up to the NBA. The second-year shooting guard logged 13 minutes for head coach JJ Redick on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers. Bronny James registered four points and two steals in his limited time on the floor.

The former USC Trojans standout came off the bench again on Friday as the Lakers hosted the Brooklyn Nets at Crypto.com Arena. Bronny James made NBA history in the second quarter with the help of his dad.

Bronny James scored his first points of the evening at the 7:50 mark of the second quarter. He knocked down a triple courtesy of an assist from his dad.
This marked the first time in league history that a dad dished out a dime for his son. The NBA took to social media to announce the milestone.

Last season, LeBron and Bronny James became the first father-and-son duo to play in an NBA game together. However, they have not spent much time on the floor together, with Bronny James falling in and out of the rotation in his first two seasons with the Lakers.
In 2025-26, the 21-year-old has played 33 games for L.A. Entering Friday’s matchup against Brooklyn, Bronny James has averaged 2.1 points and 1.2 assists in just 7.2 minutes per contest.

Nevertheless, Bronny James still made history on Friday night alongside his dad.
