LeBron James is now the NBA’s all-time leader in career games played

LeBron James continues to redefine the rules of aging as an NBA player. He became the league’s all-time leading career scorer three seasons ago, and earlier this season, he became the all-time leader in made field goals.

On Thursday, when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat 134-126, he tied Hall of Fame center Robert Parish for the most career games played at 1,611. When he took the court in Central Florida against the Orlando Magic on Saturday, he took the lead in that category.

No one in NBA history has played in more career regular-season games than the 41-year-old James, who also set a record in October by beginning his 23rd season in the league.
