LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is playing in his 23rd NBA season.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is still playing at a high level even at 41 years of age.

While he has started showing signs of slowing down, James has been able to continue adapting his game. He may not be the elite superstar that he once was, but he’s still capable of putting a team on his back during stretches of games.

During Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics, James reached another major NBA milestone. He became the first player in league history to reach 43,000 career points.

James has played well this season for the Lakers. He has appeared in 38 games so far, averaging 21.7 points per game to go along with 7.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals, while also shooting 49.7 percent from the floor and 30.3 percent from three-point range.

Following James’ latest accomplishment, WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark took a moment to pay her respects to the NBA living legend.

Clark commented on James’ Instagram post about reaching 43,000 career points. She only needed four total characters to say what she wanted to say.

“King,” Clark commented.

📲| Caitlin Clark in the comments under LeBron’s 43,000 career points post:

No other words were needed. James has continued surpassing historical NBA marks throughout his career. Even in his 40’s, he’s continuing to reach milestones and set records that will be difficult for future players to pass.

Over the years, James and Clark have had a lot of praise to heap upon each other.

At this point in the season, James and the Lakers hold a 34-22 record. They have had moments throughout the year where they have looked like a true NBA Finals contender. In other times, they have looked much worse.

Only time will tell, but James is still an integral part of what Los Angeles wants to do. There are rumors swirling around about his future with the Lakers, but he’s focused on trying to win another championship for the legendary franchise.

Caitlin Clark Hoping to Get Back on Track for Indiana Fever

As for Clark, her 2025 WNBA season was a nightmare. She dealt with multiple injury issues throughout the year and was only able to play in 13 games.

In those 13 appearances, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, five rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. She only shot 36.7 percent from the floor and 27.9 percent from three-point distance. Her injury issues clearly hampered her level of play.

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, the Fever should be one of the best teams in the WNBA. If Clark can get back to full health and stay that way, she’ll have a chance to lead a championship run.

Hopefully, she’s able to get her career back on track. The WNBA is in a much better place when Clark is healthy and playing at the superstar level she’s capable of playing.
