The Science Olympiad team at LISA Academy West Middle School has now won the Arkansas State Science Olympiad Championship and will head to Nationals in Los Angeles!
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The Science Olympiad team at LISA Academy West Middle School has now won the Arkansas State Science Olympiad Championship!
Since their big win, they have now earned the right to represent the Natural State at the 2026 Science Olympiad National Tournament at the University of Southern California.
After a season of hard work and intense preparation, collaboration, and competition, the dedicated students and coaches from LISA Academy West Middle School showed exceptional achievement across a broad range of STEM-focused events.
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and determination,” said Dr. Fatih Bogrek, Superintendent of LISA Academy. “This achievement highlights not only their passion for science but also the strength of our school’s STEM curriculum and team spirit.”
The success at the state tournament shows the team’s creativity and problem-solving skills, as well as deep scientific knowledge, which were developed through many months of rigorous study and hands-on practice.
The Science Olympiad National Tournament, which will be hosted this year at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles on May 22–23, 2026, brings together the top middle and high school Science Olympiad teams from across the country so that they can compete in a wide spectrum of science and engineering challenges.
