Christmas may have already passed, but the spirit of giving was still alive in Eastover.
Wednesday, Snake Eyez Entertainment music company including artist 803 Fresh gifted a family their home back after a tragic fire left them with nothing.
Just days before Christmas in 2024, Shequana Scott family home burned to the ground after a massive fire. The family lost everything, including a pet.
“This is at my granddad who passed away two years ago, and he actually left this home to my son,” Scott said. “So this is my son’s house. That’s why I really take pride in it, because my grandfather all of this property is his.”
Scott says many people opened their arms to her and her two sons when it initially happened, but the help that came later was completely unexpected.
“I am grateful,” Scott said. “It’s nice people out here still. Never imagined people would come together like they did for me. God is good, so just keep hope alive.”
Snake Eyez Entertainment, including 803 Fresh, came together to rebuild and renovate the home, adding an additional room, bathroom and new appliances.
“Everything refurbished, everything re-done,” said 803 Fresh. “I’m so proud of my brothers, Snake Eyez, for coming together and actually having this in mind.”
Co-owner of Snake Eyez, Tee, says giving back was personal.
“I’m east of born and raised, so it meant a lot to me to try to come back and do something good down here for the people around here,” Tee said.
Tee with Snake Eyez Entertainment says this project is just one of the ways they are giving back to their communities and will be finding more ways to give back to South Carolina.
