LP science teacher in 4th round of national contest | 103.9 WLPO


Voting the past week has advanced a local teacher in a national contest – all about teachers. La Salle Peru High School Forensic instructor Nancy Kochis is now in Round 4 of the America’s Favorite Teacher.

The contest she’s entered in is a national search organized by a firm called Colossal who supports charities. This contest has teachers competing for very nice prizes. If Kochis wins, she’ll receives $25,000, a trip to Hawaii, an appearance in Reader’s Digest…..and a school assembly with Bill Nye. Nye is well versed in science and became nationally visible through a PBS TV show.
