BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – LSU will permanently close the LSU Golf Course effective June 30, 2026, following a multi-year review.
The course will remain open to the public through May 9, 2026.
The decision reflects the university’s ongoing evaluation of operational priorities, financial stewardship and long-term planning needs, according to LSU.
The university said it appreciates the golf course’s longstanding role in the community and is committed to supporting employees through the transition.
No final decision has been made regarding the future use of the property.
