Igor Tudor has confirmed the returns of Lucas Bergvall, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie for Tottenham Hotspur’s second leg of the last-16 Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid.

Bergvall has been sidelined after suffering an ankle injury which required surgery in January’s victory over Borussia Dortmund. Udogie has struggled with hamstring and knee injuries throughout the season while Romero clashed heads with his team-mate Joao Palhinha in the away fixture which Spurs lost 5-2.

Tudor confirmed on Tuesday, however, that all three are likely to be involved as the north London side will look to overcome the three-goal deficit of the first leg. Palhinha, however, is not set to be available.

“Destiny (Udogie) and Lucas (Bergvall) will be on the bench tomorrow,” he said. “One part of the game, not too much because they just started to train with us but it is good to see them.

“(Romero) is there. You saw him in training today? He can play. Joao (Palhinha) no. He is doing worse so he will be for the next game but Romero is in.”

The trio took part in an open training session before Wednesday’s return leg at home against Atletico but Palhinha trained individually. Conor Gallagher, who missed Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool due to an illness, was not involved at all.

“We see today what we can do because (Gallagher) has, as you know, probably asthma problems,” Tudor continued. “He has some virus to make some not nice things so we are going to see tomorrow if he is able to go on the bench.

“Nothing like a danger but still he is not able to play.”

Tottenham conceded three goals in 15 minutes in the first leg, with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky substituted shortly after. On Sunday, however, they rescued a point against Liverpool to put an end to their six-game losing streak.
