Greece, N.Y. — A man was arrested after police said he struck another person with a vehicle before hitting him with a pipe.
Officers responded to Wegmans on Mount Read Boulevard just after 8:05 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an assault.
Police said the victim reported being struck by a vehicle while walking in a parking lot, before the suspect followed him inside a store and struck him multiple times with a pipe. Store security “intervened and escorted the suspect from the premises.”
A review of security footage led officers to a nearby home, where the suspect admitted his involvement in the incident and was taken into custody, according to police.
Willie Baker, 28, was charged with assault. Police said he was taken to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
