The Dallas Mavericks‘ rookie had quite the encore against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Before getting into all the impressive history, how about these stats:
That’s probably one of the best games Flagg will ever play, and he did it as a rookie who is still 19 years old.
In the process, Flagg reached 40-plus points for the fourth time. That breaks LeBron James’ record for most 40-point games by a teenager, with the NBA sharing that stat on social media.
They added that Flagg is the youngest player to have a 45-point, 5 rebounds, 5-assist game.
Other records were circulating on social media, too, including some that involved Wilt Chamberlain.

The point is that Flagg is hitting his stride as the season gets close to its ending. He won’t be going to the playoffs this season with the Mavericks, but he’s proving he can be dangerous.
Right now, Flagg is showing Mavs ownership that he’s exactly the building block they needed.
