Two Mendota High School students have been selected for state music honors, and a third received community recognition.
Owen Schroeder was selected for the 2026 Illinois Music Education Association All-State Choir, while Spencer Kain was chosen for the ILMEA Honors Choir.
Hannah Kunz was recognized as the Mendota Elks Teen of the Month for December.
Principal Masini announced the honors during the Dec. 15 school board meeting.
