MFAH hosting Frida Kahlo Look-Alike Day featuring a fashion contest

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is hosting a Frida Kahlo Look-Alike Day on Sunday that features a Fashion Contest.

The contest will be open to all ages and the museum is encouraging people to dress up as their “favorite Frida.” Among the potential prizes include an MFAH Family Membership.

The contests will be held at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.

Other activities include a make-your-own flower crown station starting at 2 p.m. and a live performance from DJ Rosez

“‘Frida’ poses an ambitious question,” wrote Chronicle reporter Amber Elliott ahead of the exhibit’s opening. “It asks how she died as a relatively unknown painter, only to become a global pop culture star posthumously?”

Admission on Sunday will be $10.
