Middle East War expands: Iran missiles hit Israel I live update

The war between Iran and Israel is intensifying as both sides continue launching attacks across the region.

Iranian officials say they are prepared to continue the conflict for as long as necessary and have reportedly used a hypersonic missile for the first time during the war. The weapon, believed to travel at more than fifteen times the speed of sound, was launched as part of a new wave of strikes targeting Israel.

Iran’s leadership insists the war was imposed on the country and has rejected calls for negotiations. Officials also claim that Iran maintains control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes.

Meanwhile, Israel says it continues to strike targets inside Iran as part of a wider military campaign aimed at weakening Iranian military infrastructure. Israeli officials claim they have destroyed a large percentage of Iran’s missile launch systems.

The conflict has also spread beyond Iran and Israel. In Tel Aviv and other parts of central Israel, missile interceptions and falling debris have caused fires and injuries.

At the same time, fighting is escalating along the Israel–Lebanon border where the armed group Hezbollah continues launching attacks on Israeli positions. Israeli forces are reportedly reinforcing their presence near the border and considering a wider ground offensive.

The regional conflict has also impacted neighboring countries. Several Gulf states including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia reported intercepting drones and missiles linked to the conflict.

Inside Iraq, a former US military installation known as Victory Base Complex near Baghdad International Airport was targeted by missiles and drones, injuring several people.

The war is also having a major impact on global trade and shipping. With tensions disrupting maritime routes near the Suez Canal and the Strait of Hormuz, freight companies are increasingly relying on land routes through Jordan and Syria to move goods toward Europe.

Analysts warn that if the conflict continues to expand, it could threaten global energy supplies, international shipping routes, and economic stability across the region.

In this video we break down the latest developments in the Iran–Israel war, the missile attacks across the Middle East, and the growing geopolitical impact of the conflict.
