Nottingham Forest have lost the first leg of a two-legged major European knockout stage tie at home for only the second time, though they did progress through the other – they lost 1-0 to Berliner FC Dynamo in the 1979-80 European Cup first leg, but won the second leg 3-1 en route to winning the competition.
No player has scored more away goals in the UEFA Europa League this season than Nottingham Forest’s Igor Jesus (4) – however, he has had nine shots against FC Midtjylland this term but has failed to score.
