Missouri State names Eric Schick chief financial officer – News


Missouri State University has named Eric Schick as its next chief financial officer. He will begin his role April 13. 

Schick most recently served as vice president and CFO at the University of Tulsa. He is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership experience in higher education and health care.  

“Eric brings deep financial expertise, strong leadership and a proven ability to help organizations plan strategically for the future,” Missouri State President Richard B. Williams said. “His experience in higher education and complex organizations will serve Missouri State well as we continue to advance the university’s mission and position it for long-term success.” 

As CFO, Schick will oversee the university’s financial operations and help guide long-range planning, budgeting and resource management in support of Missouri State’s strategic priorities. 

About Schick 

Before joining the University of Tulsa, Schick served as executive vice president and CFO at one of Oklahoma’s largest health care system, Saint Francis Health System, in Tulsa for 23 years. Earlier in his career, he worked as controller at Oklahoma State University Medical Center for five years.  

Throughout his career, Schick has led strategic financial planning, operational improvement and organizational restructuring efforts. His experience also includes contract negotiations, budgeting, endowment management and financial reporting.
