Monroe County received the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2024.
This is the 29th time the county has received the award since 1994 and the 25th consecutive year, according to a community announcement. The GFOA is a professional association of about 25,000 government finance officers in the U.S. and Canada.
