Music Charts at Christmas: Top Songs Revealed

And so it begins. YouTube’s weekly Top Songs global chart for 31 October to 6 November shows Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ re-entering the list at number 55, courtesy of 10.1m weekly views. In the US version of the chart it places even higher: 19th spot.

And to show this isn’t just a YouTube thing, ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ is number 35 in Spotify’s daily Top 50 – Global chart at the time of writing too, with Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ lurking at number 48 in those rankings too. “It’s November!” people will complain, but it appears Christmas-music season is upon us.

And not just old Christmas music either. Hot on the heels of Amazon Music’s festive originals launch last week, Apple Music has unveiled its ‘Carols Covered’ collection for 2025. Enhypen, Khalid, Olly Murs and Parker McCollum are among the artists covering Christmas classics this year for Apple, which like Amazon has cherry-picked guests from key markets around the world.

Classical musicians Anna Lapwood and Francesco Tristano are also on board for Apple Music’s latest ‘Classical Carols Covered’ drop too.
