Music video for Greece’s Eurovision entry ‘Ferto’ unveiled

The music video for “Ferto,” Greece’s entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest 2026, was unveiled Wednesday.

The clip premiered on state broadcaster ERT1’s morning show “Proian se Eidon,” presented by Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita.

The performer Akylas appears as an ’80s-style video game character, navigating through a series of iconic locations across Greece. The video mixes digital animation with real-world landscapes, highlighting Greece’s scenery while giving the performance a modern, playful tone.

The official video is available on ERTFLIX, the broadcaster’s streaming platform, and on the Eurovision YouTube channel.

“Ferto,” which means “bring it” in Greek, blends electro-pop with the traditional Cretan lyra and contemporary slang. Its departure from the heavier folkloric styles often associated with the contest has earned the song a passionate following on social media.

Akylas, born Akylas Mytilinaios, wrote the lyrics to “Ferto” with Orfeas Nonis. The music was composed by Papatanice and TEO.x3, who represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as a member of Freaky Fortune.

Beyond its upbeat sound, “Ferto” carries a personal message. In the bridge, Akylas addresses his mother, singing about overcoming past hardships and striving to ensure that the family never feels deprivation again.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is scheduled to take place at Wiener Stadthalle, with semi-finals on May 12 and 14 and the final on May 16.
