Everyone knows Kevin Durant‘s impact on the court – an MVP, two-time NBA champion, a 15-time All-Star, the list goes on. However, he has always been private about his love life, rarely being seen out and about with women.
This topic has always sparked great curiosity among fans in the off-court discourse. What we do know is that Durant has certainly been in love, at least once. He got engaged to WNBA star Monica Wright back in 2013, but the pair split up in 2014, eventually ending their engagement.
Moreover, he was linked to a couple of women years later: a singer, Teyana Taylor, a social media influencer, Brittney Elena, an adult-film star, Lana Rhoades, and a WNBA player, Liz Cambage.
As it currently stands, KD is single, and stated in 2024 on Logan Paul’s “Impulsive” podcast, he doesn’t want a girlfriend, saying he understands women a bit more, and that his hypothetical girlfriend “isn’t mine”, implying she might be influenced by other people despite being his.
Although, as of late, Durant found himself in the crossfire. No matter how much he wants to keep his business private, the internet is out to get him.
KD allegedly slept with NBA YoungBoy’s ex
In the basketball space, NBA YoungBoy is one of the most popular artists on players’ playlists, whether before the game or in everyday life. Many players refer to his music due to the diverse range of songs, from hype songs to emotional hits.
However, his latest song, “Zero IQ Freestyle”, is definitely a heavy hitter, a diss track aimed at another rapper, NLE Choppa, and appears to be directed at KD as well, with him being right in the mix.
“My b—ch f—ked Kevin Durant and f—ked Ken Carson. She gon’ tell mе after I turned her up,” said YoungBoy on the song.
The alleged girl the rapper is talking about is his ex and also a rapper in her own right, Mellow Rackz. She is known for her melodic flow and a mix of hip-hop, soul, and R&B. She was signed to rap legend Lil Wayne’s Young Money label and collaborated with NBA Youngboy on various tracks.
Mellow Rackz and NBA Youngboy were spotted together in Paris at the beginning of this summer, sparking speculation that they had rekindled their relationship, implying that she might have cheated on him with the NBA superstar. Although Youngboy is a married man himself, this creates an even bigger paradox in this messy situation.
Durant is silent
KD has yet to deny or approve of the rumours, creating a big question mark around him. One might not be surprised if he doesn’t respond in the end, since his skills at dodging romantic questions are the same as his basketball skills.
In contrast, perhaps the rapper is using Durant’s name for clout, since many wouldn’t label him as someone who shatters other people’s relationships. No matter the situation, one thing is for sure: KD has found himself in a sticky position.
