NBA All-Star game scouting report: What to watch for in U.S. vs. World format
The one thing I’m watching for is the level of competitiveness. Will the new U.S. vs. World format ignite a fire that has dwindled in the All-Star game throughout the years, or will it be more of the same? I think it’ll be the latter, but hopefully I’m wrong. —Justin Martinez, The Oklahoman
NBA All-Star Game prediction: Can World team win without injured stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo?
The popular pick is the World team, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo are out due to injuries. That’s two of the three best players in all of basketball no longer available, so give me the USA Stars team instead. It has no shortage of scoring with Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Maxey and Devin Booker in the mix. And it also has some elite defenders in Scottie Barnes and Chet Holmgren. —Justin Martinez, The Oklahoman
