Miami Heat guard Norman Powell led the team in All-Star fan voting.
The first NBA All-Star Fan Voting results are in for the 2025-2026 NBA season, and the early results are not promising for the Miami Heat.
The NBA announced the top 20 vote-getting players in each conference. The only Heat player listed was Norman Powell, who finished at No. 18 with 100,390 votes.
For reference, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo led all players in the Eastern Conference with 1,192,296 votes.
Fans account for 50% of the votes, while players account for 25% of the votes and a media panel accounts for 25% of the votes.
Due to the voting split, the Heat can be represented in Los Angeles, although it doesn’t look likely.
The Heat have been represented in four straight All-Star Games. The 2021 All-Star Game was the last time a Heat player didn’t make it.
Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo (2x) and Tyler Herro were the Heat representatives for the last four seasons.
This release of fan voting results doesn’t mark the end of player selection. Fans have until January 14 to submit their All-Star ballots.
With that in mind, two candidates could represent the Heat at the All-Star game on February 15.
Miami Heat Guard Norman Powell

GettyNorman Powell is the most likely Miami Heat player to be an All-Star.
Norman Powell is the Miami Heat’s leading scorer and top fan vote-getter.
He is also the most likely player to represent the Heat at the All-Star game.
Despite averaging 21.8 points per game last season on the Los Angeles Clippers, Powell was not selected to be an All-Star. He has not been selected as an All-Star yet in his career.
He’s currently sitting at No. 18 in fan voting, and for good reason. Powell has finished with 20 or more points in 2o of the Heat’s 32 games.
He’s also finished with 30 or more points on four occasions, and has the highest single-game scoring total for a Heat player this season with 38 points against the New York Knicks.
Powell has the Heat’s top three scoring games this season with 38, 33 and 32 points.
In the offseason, Powell was traded to the Heat. Following the announcement, he set out a goal to become an All-Star.
“I’ve not been shy to say that I’m a starter, that I can be an All-Star given the opportunity,” Powell told ClutchSports.
Miami Heat Center Bam Adebayo

GettyMiami Heat center Bam Adebayo could make his fourth All-Star appearance.
Bam Adebayo is third in points per game with 18 and second in rebounds per game with 9.5 on the Miami Heat.
Adebayo has made three All-Star games in his career, but this season, that appears unlikely.
Adebayo is the No. 11 player in rebounds in the NBA, and is averaging two combined blocks and steals per game.
His defensive ability alone could merit Adebayo an All-Star appearance every season.
However, Adebayo has struggled with injuries this season. He’s only played in 24 of the Heat’s 32 games, missing time with a toe injury in November and a back injury in December.
Additionally, Adebayo is shooting career lows from the field and is averaging his fewest points per game since the 2019-2020 season.
If Adebayo can pick up his offensive output over the next two weeks of the season, he could earn himself a spot on the All-Star team.
For now, Norman Powell seems like the Heat’s best chance at being a part of the All-Star game.
