Netflix is adding 19 new movies, shows and live events to the streaming service this week, and there are definitely a few titles you won’t want to miss. Top of the list is a new horror miniseries, “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,” and, spoiler alert, something very bad is going to happen. It’s not trying to mislead you with that title.
But if you prefer to stay away from horror, you have a few options. “BTS The Return” follows the legendary K-pop band as they record their comeback album, “Arirang.” There’s also live baseball on Netflix this week, with the New York Yankees vs. San Francisco Giants on March 25 starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Why you should watch it: If you like a horror story, then “Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen” is a must-watch. Something (probably multiple somethings) very bad is going to happen to the happy couple, and something is thrilling about just waiting for the bomb to drop when you know it’s coming.

‘BTS The Return’
Genre: Documentary movie
What it’s about: BTS is back after years of hiatus. “BTS The Return” takes you behind the scenes as they arrive in LA to record their comeback album, “Arirang.”
Why you should watch it: If you’re a BTS fan, this is obviously a must-watch. Especially if you’re a new fan after watching the legendary K-pop group perform live on Netflix earlier this month.

MLB Opening Night: Yankees vs. Giants
Genre: Live sporting event
What it’s about: The 2026 MLB season begins in San Francisco with the New York Yankees taking on the San Francisco Giants.
Why you should watch it: This will be Netflix’s first baseball broadcast, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. As the opening game of the season, it will also set the tone for these former rivals. The Yankees are in win-now mode, while the Giants are starting fresh with a new manager. A giant Giants upset now could matter come October.

‘Jeff Ross: Take A Banana For The Ride’
Genre: Stand-up comedy special
What it’s about: Jeff Ross has made his name as a roastmaster and comedian extraordinaire. But now, his Broadway debut is coming to Netflix, and it features Ross in a one-man show about family, loss and more personal themes.
Why you should watch it: Ross is genuinely an iconic stand-up, especially for those from my generation and Gen X. This is going to be a show you don’t want to miss.

‘Inside’ season 3
Genre: Reality competition series
What it’s about: The Sideman, a group of viral YouTubers, bring together a bunch of influencers and celebrities to compete for a £1 million prize pot.
Why you should watch it: If you like reality competition shows, then this will be familiar territory. Fair warning, though, this is a British show, so those from the States might not recognize all the famous faces.

‘Homicide: New York’ season 2
Genre: Documentary series
What it’s about: New York detectives and prosecutors break down some of their biggest, most shocking homicide investigations.
Why you should watch it: True crime fans will probably already have this on their watchlist. But this season, things take a surprising twist, as the show also investigates the impact Sept. 11, 2001, had on the NYPD.

‘Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole’
Genre: Norwegian crime drama series
What it’s about: Det. Harry Hole is an Oslo policeman with a lot on his mind. But things get thrown into chaos when he’s tasked with hunting down a depraved serial killer.
Why you should watch it: If you can handle subtitles, this crime drama promises plenty of action, drama and violence. Plus, I’m personally a fan of Joel Kinnaman, who plays a corrupt colleague of Det. Hole.
