Nevada landing NFL, NBA, MLB draft picks headline individual success stories

To wrap up 2025, Nevada Sports Net will highlight some of the top stories of the 2025 calendar year with video recaps. You can watch this feature’s video recap at the top of this page.

Nevada athletics made history by having a player selected in the NFL, NBA and MLB draft in 2025. Kitan Crawford was a seventh-round NFL draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals, Kobe Sanders was a second-round NBA draft pick by the New York Knicks (and immediately traded to the Los Angeles Clippers) and Peyton Fosher was a 19th-round MLB draft pick by the Miami Marlins. That made Nevada one of 23 colleges with a draft pick in the three major sports, including one of only three non-Power 4 schools to do so, joining Washington State and UConn. Additionally, Northern Nevada products Gabby Williams (WNBA All-Star), Robby Snelling (minor-league Gold Glover winner) and the Kai and Kedre Luschar (led Oregon softball to WCWS) had phenomenal seasons in their sports with Wolf Pack standouts Lilly Urban (11th in nation in javelin); Amahée Charrier (MW women’s tennis player of the year); Aaliyah Jenkins (MW Scholar-Athlete of the Year); and Scarlett Ferris (set three school swim records) also posting historic performances.
