New Music Friday release radar for February 27, 2026: top albums, song releases

It’s New Music Friday eve! Dan Johnson walks you through all the biggest music releases on the radar that’ll drop on February 27, 2026.

Happy New Music Friday eve. February 27 looks like one of the busiest release Fridays of 2026 so far: Bruno Mars is finally back with The Romantic, BLACKPINK and Gorillaz are both landing major new projects, Mitski is all the way back with a new album, and the undercard, as it were, is deep enough that Lauv, Iron & Wine, Geese, and Bill Callahan are all sharing the same release window. This is a real traffic-jam Friday, pun all the way intended.

The singles side is crowded, too. RAYE, Alex Warren, Ava Max, Bruno, Sean Paul, Laufey, Melanie Martinez, and more are all lining up fresh drops, which gives this week both marquee pop weight and the kind of genre spread that can take over playlists by breakfast.
