Josh Baker releases highly-anticipated ‘Come Closer’ EP

Josh Baker has finally dropped ‘Come Closer’, a new five-track EP on You&Me.

It marks a cherry on the top of a turbo-charged year for the Manchester DJ and producer, and the long-awaited release of sought-after cuts like ‘Subsonic’ and the title-track which have been dancefloor hits through summer. 

The EP also aligns with the decade anniversary celebrations of Baker’s own You&Me Records

“Five tracks on my beloved You&Me Records, each one representing a different shade of what I’ve been cooking over the last 18 months,” says Josh Baker.

Lady Shaka shares celebratory new single ‘Good Times’ featuring Rubi Du

Lady Shaka has released a new single titled ‘Good Times’ via NLV Records.

The collaborations with roots and dancehall Rubi Du celebrates islander pride from across the globe, reflecting sounds from the Caribbean as wel as Lady Shaka’s Samoan, Tokelauan, Mā’ohi (Tahitian), Māori, and Cape Verdean roots.

“‘Good Times’ is an ode to Afro Pacific Islanders and the fusion of ancestral and diasporic sounds that come from both Black and Pacific Island music,” says Lady Shaka. “For me the track all started from a single Congolese soukous guitar riff sample and within 1 day I had created the basis of a new diasporic sound that I knew was made for Rubi Du.”

KILIMANJARO releases his second EP, ‘KUSAMBILA (First Phase)’

Zambian-Scottish artist KILIMANJARO has released his second EP, a four-tracker titled ‘KUSAMBILA (First Phase)’.

The full release ws preceded by singles ‘ELEMENTS’ and ‘SENTA’, the latter being a collaboration with Dave Nunes which incorporates influence from Brazilian funk.

The full EP also sees him rejoin with previous collaborator AMAKA on ‘Pop Out and link up with Brazy on ‘Culture Club’.

FAUZIA returns with first new music in four years

FAUZIA has returned with her first batch of new music in more than four years with a double single titled ‘The Way’, out now via Local Action.

The two-track release taps into jungle, vocal-led experiments and alternative styles, accompanied by a new music video described by FAUZIA as a reflection of “me as a person; which I think is quite introverted and someone who tries to avoid being seen.”

Nas and DJ Premier announce long-awaited collaborative album

Nas and DJ Premier have revealed details around their long-awaited collab album ‘Light-Years’, 30 years on from their debut collab on Nas’ 1994 album ‘Illmatic’.

The album marks the final part of a seven-part series in ode to New York hip hop legends, with early singles already released in collab with Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, De La Soul, and more.

Yourboykiran drops new four-track EP, ‘Got That Dawg In Me’

Yourboykiran has self-released a new four-track EP – which includes a Bandcamp exclusive track – titled ‘Got That Dawg In Me’, landing on December 5. 

The record is made up of electro lead ‘Bad Boy’, dubstep and baile funk-influenced ‘Dizguztin’, booty bass track ‘Double Cheeked’, and a final exclusive track sampling Roll Deep’s ‘When I’m ‘Ere’.Pre-order here

DJ Manny releases new EP on Moveltraxx, ‘Keep The Bass Flowing’

Chicago’s DJ Manny has released his latest record via Moveltraxx, a five-track EP titled ‘Keep The Bass Flowing’, following up his June-released record on the label, ‘Make You Dance’.

The record spans a selection of sounds DJ Manny has become known for, including footwork and juke, blended with “ ’90s dance, ’80s funk, acid house and R&B”.

Sauna Radio shares fundraising compilation for Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)

Stockholm’s Sauna Radio has released its debut compilation, ‘SAUNA RADIO VA VOL.1’, raising money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). 

The Swedish broadcaster has locked in contributions from Peder Mannerfelt, OG Bella, NITEFISH, MOLØ and more for the compilation, which is available in both digital and vinyl formats.

HAVEN. releases new version of ‘I Run’ following AI controversy

Having spurned on 503.3K TikTok videos spanning 1.95 billion views, HAVEN. has released a new version of ‘I Run’ — the massive UKG-inspired track that has been at the centre of controversy over its use of AI-assisted vocals. 

The English producer’s new version of ‘I Run’ features vocals from Kaitlin Aragon, and has been released via Isekai/broke/AAO.

“This track has been a labor of love, and it means so much to see it finally out in the world with Kaitlin on board,” commented HAVEN.

Demi Riquísimo shares title track for forthcoming EP ‘No Given Time’

London-based producer Demi Riquisimo has released the title track from his new EP ‘No Given Time’, which is set to land on his Semi Delicious imprint on December 3. 

Decadent ’80s synth banger ‘No Given Time’ is one of four tracks on the EP, which features collaborations from Michelle Manetti, The Trip, and Hammer.

Denis Sulta celebrates a decade of ‘It’s Only Real’ with new remix

Scottish DJ and producer Denis Sulta has shared a new remix of his 2015 breakthrough classic ‘It’s Only Real’, celebrating a decade of the beloved dancefloor banger. 

‘It’s Only Real 2025’ dials up the emotional, euphoric energy of the original and applies some cutting-edge club heat. ““It’s been the most incredible 10 years of Sulta and there truly is no better way to celebrate this milestone than with this new presentation of It’s Only Real,” says Sulta. 

“Over time everything changes, and as my perspective and taste develops I felt it was time to open up a new sonic palette and lean into what truly makes me smile,” he continues. “Thank you to everyone who made this record what it is today.”
