Newburgh Chamber Music presents Rachel and Keve Eclectic Cabaret

NEWBURGH- Join Rachel and Keve on a musical journey around the world when they present their Eclectic Cabaret on April 19, 2026, in Newburgh.

The performance begins at 3 p.m. at St. George’s Church, 105 Grand Street.  It is Newburgh Chamber Music’s final concert of the 2025-2026 season.

Lifelong friends, violinist Rachel Handman and oboist Keve Wilson met in Hyde Park when they were ten and eventually realized their dream of playing on Broadway.  They have played in the orchestra pits for “Cabaret,” “Company,” and many other hit musicals.

Beyond Broadway, they have played to audiences around the world, and have developed a concert reinterpreting international music styles.  They continue to transcend genres with unique and creative repertoire, weaving personal tales from their lifelong friendship throughout the concerts.

“Seeing them perform is a total battery recharge,” said music professor Shelagh Abate of the Berklee School of Music.  “The joy they find in playing with each other and re-inventing/re-creating music that most of us have long taken for granted is so inspiring.”

In 2021, Rachel and Keve were invited to be the sole performers for the Culinary Institute of America’s 75th Anniversary, and they recently performed at ArtsFest New Rochelle and the Margate Music Series in Atlantic City.  They play to packed houses at venues such as Feinstein’s/54.

Reviewing one of their Feinstein’s/54 performances,  Broadway World critic Ricky Pope wrote:  “Rachel Handman and Keve Wilson got a very well-deserved standing ovation.  The next time I’m at a Broadway show, I will not take the orchestra for granted.”

Tickets for the April 19 concert are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, and $10 for students.  They are available at the door (cash or check only) and online at newburghchambermusic.org.

Meet the artists at a reception after the concert.

St. George’s is handicapped accessible, with parking across the street.
