It looks like this is the best time of the year to score a 50-series gaming PC for less, and over at Newegg, there are some cracking Black Friday deals we think are well worth looking at. Right now, this MSI Gaming Aegis PC is down $450, reduced from $1,899.00 to $1,449.00.

This gaming PC is ideal if you’re looking for something punchy for 1440p performance, but also something that allows you to take advantage of everything Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture has to offer. In terms of pricing, for an RTX 5070 build, it’s very competitive, especially considering it has 32GB of DDR5 RAM and boasts MSI build quality and components. Not to mention, it’s super stylish, too, and looks every bit as premium as some of its higher-end options.

What we like about this MSI Gaming Aegis prebuilt PC

RTX 5070 graphics card

First up, you’ve got the RTX 5070, which is one of the best graphics cards for 1440p gaming, moderately demanding creative workflows, and AI-accelerated tasks and machine learning. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, so you’re getting a whole host of improvements across the board when it comes to both performance and efficiency. Notably, you’ve got new GDDR7 VRAM, which is higher bandwidth than the previous GDDR6, alongside 5th-gen Tensor cores for advanced AI performance, and 4th-gen Ray Tracing cores, too. On top of this, you also have DLSS 4 and MFG, which can be used to push framerates even higher than what this card is capable of in its raw state. Read our full review here for a deeper look at performance.

Ryzne 7 8700F processor

This CPU was released back in April 2024, and it’s a decent option to pair with this graphics card that can help keep costs down, but provide good gaming performance. It has your standard 8 cores and 16 threads, a big boost clock speed of 5 GHz, and a somewhat small 16MB L3 cache. This is the type of CPU that’s going to be okay if you’re using this PC primarily for gaming in 1440p.

32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD

A decent amount of RAM for a more affordable PC build, 32GB is going to give you enough headroom for future game releases, and allow you to run RAM-intensive applications, play open-world or heavily modded games, and multitask with ease. It also has a decent 1TB of storage, which is good if you’re playing a handful of games on rotation and don’t have plans to build an enormous gaming library anytime soon.

Other standout features

This PC has an air cooling system with MSI Frozr technology, which can learn and predict system temperatures, adjusting fan speeds and reducing noise when not under heavy loads. It also has MSI’s stunning Mystic Light RGB, which can be customized via the MSI Center.

What are your alternatives?

As far as alternatives go, we’d say that you’d want to explore some RTX 5070 Ti options if you’re looking for something better for 1440p performance with ray tracing enabled, handling more complex creative tasks, or using it for 4K gaming. You may also want to have a look at some PC with the RX 9070 XT, which also have 16GB of VRAM, but GDDR6. These are usually a mid-way point between the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti builds in terms of pricing, and are great for gaming, but lose out to the 50-series when it comes to AI performance and features.
