News 12 | Connecticut | Westport Library kicks off annual music celebration with VersoFest

The Westport Library is kicking off its annual celebration of music, media and creativity this weekend.

The VersoFest kickoff concert on Friday featured the rising rock band, The Thing.

The festival will be four main days, running from March 26 to March 29.

The full schedule will be released soon.

The immersive festival includes concerts, workshops, art installations and more – all taking place at the Westport Library.

“This idea of having public libraries or community venues that put together headliner events that are art is really vital to the community. So, the reason we designed this library the way it is, with these giant communal spaces, is to do just that. To build community by actually getting people together in the same space. And we do that through our programming and events like VersoFest,” says Bill Harmer, executive director of the Westport Library.

Tickets for the festival are $35.
