Max Christie looked intensely focused as he extended his arms, showcasing his 6-foot-9 wingspan.

He was determined to get a rare stop on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who didn’t show nearly as much emotion. The superstar guard’s face was stale, unfazed by Christie’s ferociousness, and his next move seemed equally nonchalant.

Gilgeous-Alexander hit Christie with a between-the-leg move. Then he went behind the back. Then he crossed Christie over, spun and sunk a 10-footer.
