New York is the city that continues to prove anything is possible. On the same night you see live performances by up-and-coming artists at The Bitter End, you might run into Lady Gaga outside. On the same day you ate a street hotdog for lunch, you could be dining at one of the world’s best restaurants by dinnertime.
And this Saturday, April 11, only in New York, you can take a little trip to Scotland via a New York City fashion show by heading to Dressed to Kilt at the New York Academy of Medicine (1216 Fifth Avenue), to celebrate all things Scottish. The coolest part about it? It’s a fashion show for good, raising funds for the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Navy SEALs, continuing the show’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy.
Held at the New York Academy of Medicine (1216 Fifth Avenue) on Museum Mile across from Central Park, doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the Scottish show beginning at 8:30 p.m. Co-founded by Sir Sean Connery and Dr. Geoffrey Scott Carroll in 2003, Dressed to Kilt has since become an iconic night of Scottish culture, meshing black-tie attire with the deep roots of Scotland.
This year’s theme is Scotland Cool: Braveheart to Outlander, and special guest models include Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard, Miss Scotland 2026 Eilidh MacDonald, several decorated former Navy SEALS, Scottish jazz singer Georgia Cecile, Emmy-winning New York 1 News TV anchor Shannon Ferry, and various others.
Tickets can be purchased online here. Don’t make plans for afterward, as there’s a post-show celebration at 9:30 p.m.
