Oprah Wears the Polarizing Balloon Pant Trend at Paris Fashion Week

Fashion Week brings out a bit of playfulness in us all and Oprah is not immune. Over in Paris, the talk show host opted for big pants with an ever bigger side of whimsy.

While attending the Stella McCartney Womenswear Fall/Winter 2026-2027 show, the media mogul showed just how much fun can be had when you choose to experiment. She took a basic blazer-and-pants outfit, but added in several trendy design elements.

Blazers have an innate reputation for being more formal and reserved, but this is Paris Fashion Week, where no ordinary suit quite does the trick. Oprah’s utilized color and texture to elevate her ensemble, reaching for a double-breasted salmon pick suit jacket, with a white button-down shirt layered underneath. The look was simple enough—that is, until you get to her polarizing choice of pants.

Oprah sported a billowing pair of khaki trousers with an oversized, balloon silhouette. The pair had cargo-inspired pockets at the front, giving them a cool, streetwear-inspired feel. They scrunched around her ankles, creating an airy effect while simultaneously showing off her pointed-toe heels.

The star then accessorized with a brown suede shoulder bag, which she held at the bottom like a clutch (a favorite styling trick of influencers and celebs alike). From there, Oprah reached for more delicate accessories, such as gold hoops with a pearl detail and rimless circular sunglasses.

She attended the show alongside her longtime best friend Gayle King, who wore a ribbed T-shirt dress in white, with silver buttons down the side. Playing up Oprah’s neutral color story, King styled her own look with a refined pair of caramel-colored croc skin heels.
