Key features of this Skytech RTX 5090 011 Vision gaming PC

Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor

This PC features the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, and a very popular choice for high-end graphics cards, like the RTX 5070 Ti, 5080, and 5090. It’s a gaming-first processor, so it doesn’t pack a huge core count like some of Intel’s offerings, but it’s still adept at handling tasks like streaming, running Discord, and facilitating faster workflows with applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and Blender, for instance. Where it really comes into its own is with its massive 96MB L3 cache and 5.2GHz boost clock speed, which allow you to get very high framerates with extremely low frame latency, resulting in super smooth gameplay. This version also has improved thermals over the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, allowing it to run cooler under heavier and sustained loads. Check out our full review here for more details.

RTX 5090 graphics card

You’ve got the RTX 5090 in this build, which is the top graphics card for 4K gaming you can get right now, as I’m sure you’re already aware. What you’re getting here is something that is a fair whack more expensive than the RTX 5080, but comes in at around 45 to 50% faster, and has double the VRAM (32GB of GDDR7). It’s an excellent option if you’re going for top-tier 4K, and even 8K, performance with ray tracing or path tracing, or looking for something that can be used to handle the most demanding creative workloads, like 3D and complex video editing, for example. It features 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, the latter of which give it a huge AI performance boost and power exclusive 50-series features like MFG. RAM and storage

This build features a 2TB SSD, which is large enough to be able to store a hefty games library and still leave you enough room for other files. It also has 32GB of DDR5, which is basically the sweet spot when it comes to gaming, ensuring that demanding AAA titles, like Cyberpunk 2077, will run incredibly smoothly. You could go for more, but I’d say that’s only worth it if you’re doing some serious, very high-level professional 3D work and video editing.

Things to consider

If you’re after an RTX 5090 gaming PC, there’s no real getting around the expense, especially right now. However, it is worth checking out what else is on offer at Newegg, as even a quick scan brings up something less expensive than this, but with a powerhouse Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. This ABS Eurus Ruby gaming PC is just under $5,000 right now and, while not as flashy as this Skytech option, has a superior CPU for gaming and multitasking. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D has a large L3 cache, faster boost clock speed, and much higher core and thread count, so for under $5,000, it’s a pretty awesome deal well worth adding to your shortlist.
