My friends and I were talking the other day about how we used to go to the movies allllll the time. For various reasons, some of them don’t visit much anymore. We discussed busy schedules, kids, and definitely rising costs were to blame. However, all of us mentioned movies we can’t wait to see in 2026.
My little fam still loves to kick back and share a bucket of popcorn every chance we can. I mean, what did we even do before reclining seats? I’m *this* close to becoming one of those people who bring a blanket. With the new arcade area, a full bar, and ordering dinner or snacks from your seat, the Owensboro Malco is poppin’!
They also just announced something really fun for the first half of 2026. Throwback Thursdays return! For only $5, you’ll be able to see award-winning movies, cult films, musicals, and other crowd favorites. ‘Barbie’ will be the first to kick things off next Thursday, January 8th.
Showing everything from Dumb & Dumber, to Grease, to the Alfred Hitchcock classic, The Birds, to Purple Rain, there is something for everybody. A couple of the dates are on my calendar already. I still remember seeing Talladega Nights at the movie theatre. Michael and I had just started dating, and we were both laughing so hard we cried tears!
