Several Paris ISD students earned top honors at the recent Regional Science Fair, showcasing their curiosity, creativity, and dedication to scientific discovery across multiple grade levels and categories.
Two fourth-grade students earned recognition in the Behavioral/Biological Science category. Elizabeth Gillem from Aikin Elementary received 3rd place for her project titled “Do Your Eyes Deceive You?” while Liam Phillips from Justiss Elementary placed 5th for his project “Backyard Buffet.”
Students from Crockett Intermediate also had strong showings in the competition. In the Inventions category for fifth grade, Carter Gage earned 3rd place for his invention “Fire Hand,” and Tripp Jones received 4th place for his project “Pitching Pal.”
Leading the way for Paris ISD was Crockett Intermediate sixth grader Seth Loza, who earned 1st place in the Chemical/Physical Science category for his project titled “Woolly Mammoth DNA.”
Paris ISD is proud of these students for their hard work and enthusiasm for science. Their achievements highlight the strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning and innovation across the district’s campuses.
