Pedro Pascal just leveled up his fashion résumé. After a standout custom Oscars look and a string of front-row appearances at the brand’s shows, the actor has officially been named Chanel’s newest house ambassador.
The timing feels deliberate. Pascal has been orbiting Chanel since Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection last October, when the actor showed up at the Grand Palais to watch his sister, Lux Pascal, walk the runway.
Since then, he’s leaned further into the brand’s universe, most notably at this year’s Academy Awards, where he opted for a jacketless Chanel look.
Now, the partnership is locked in. “I love Matthieu’s vision, which I find powerful, elegant, and incredibly warm: it shows me how we could exist together, there’s something for everyone in his universe,” Pascal said in a statement. “I am happy and honored to join it and I am eager to see what Matthieu has planned for the future of Chanel. The House has a remarkable ability to honor its heritage while remaining modern and relevant, and I am excited to be part of that evolving story.”
Blazy, for his part, seems equally sold. “Pedro is a wonderful man and an incredible actor,” he said. “His kindness, talent, and his vision of the world are both inviting and inspiring. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Chanel family and I’m happy to embark on this adventure together.”
It’s a natural match, but also a strategic one. Chanel has been steadily building out its roster of high-profile male ambassadors, including Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky, even without a formal menswear line. Pascal, with his mix of cultural credibility and internet-beloved charm, feels like a particularly savvy addition.
