Pairing high-fashion with philanthropy to raise money for Madelyn’s Fund, the Pink Bow Fashion Show presented by Jim Hudson Automotive Group is staged to return to Columbia for its fourth year on April 23.
A Charlotte-based nonprofit, Madelyn’s Fund was founded by NFL punter Andy Lee and his wife Rachel in November 2016, after the loss of their daughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Lee, who passed away in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) eight days after she was born.
Supporting NICU patients and their families in the Midlands and across the Carolinas, Madelyn’s Fund provides assistance with expenses such as transportation, lodging, meals, and funeral costs for families experiencing NICU trauma.
In its first two years the Pink Bow Fashion Show raised $331,000 benefiting Madelyn’s Fund, and helped to support 398 NICU families at Prisma Health Richland and Baptist Hospitals.
The organization has also supported 33 funerals for families who experienced the loss of an infant since launching its partnership with the Prisma Health Richland Hospital and Prisma Health Baptist Hospital NICUs.
The Pink Bow Fashion Show, which will take place at Central Energy in the BullStreet District, will feature local celebrities modeling spring and summer collections for men and women by Granger Owings, as well as live and silent actions, music from DJ Puff, an open bar by Republic National Distributing Company, and food by Loosh Culinaire.
Tickets for the Pink Bow Fashion Show are available for purchase online at my.onecause.com.
