This new Hulu comedy brings back the stoner comedy genre in a very fun, very silly way. Written and directed by comedians Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher—known for their viral BriTANick YouTube sketches—Pizza Movie stars Gaten Matarazzo (best known as Dustin from Stranger Things) and Sean Giambrone (best known as Adam Goldberg from The Goldbergs) as college roommates and best friends, Jack and Montgomery. Between Jack’s unpopularity and Montgomery’s nerdiness, these boys think they are doomed for yet another boring Friday night… until they try a mysterious, experimental drug that sends them flying through mental “phases,” each more outlandish than the last. The only cure for the high? A slice of pizza.
