Plano ISD students brought home plenty of accolades at the Regional Elementary Science Fair, held on February 10 at Garland ISD’s Curtis Culwell Center.
Competing against students from Allen ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and Garland ISD, Plano ISD projects earned 34 of the 77 awards presented, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our students and educators. The awards consisted of:
- One Grand Prize Winner from the 1st through 3rd Grade Category
- 13 First Place finishers
- Nine Second Place finishers
- Four Third Place finishers
- Seven Honorable Mentions
Winners were awarded by grade level. Students previously qualified for the regional fair by winning the campus-level fair. 6th grade students were also able to participate, as other partnering districts include elementary schools that are Kindergarten-6th grade.
