The Road to Kalos leads up to the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global event, taking place on Saturday, February 28, and Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. We’ve compiled a list of tips to keep in mind as you enjoy the fun in the days leading up to the big tour.
-
Sort your storage. If everything goes well, you’ll be catching lots of Pokémon during GO Tour: Kalos, and the last thing you want to do is stop in the middle of the fun to transfer Pokémon to Professor Willow. Transfer Pokémon ahead of the event and save yourself time (and stress) later! The same goes for your item storage—keep that bag free for new items.
-
Power up your Pokémon for raids. The Road to Kalos and GO Tour: Kalos present prime opportunities to catch powerful Pokémon, and you’ll likely want to participate in as many raids as possible. Choosing a dozen or so Pokémon will give you a primary team to fight with and Pokémon waiting in the wings so you don’t have to stop to revive your team before diving into another raid.
-
Take time for trades. A Special Trade allows Trainers to swap Pokémon that can’t be traded normally—and you can make up to six each day during the event. Coordinate your Special Trades ahead of time so you can take full advantage of their halved Stardust cost during the event period!
-
Stock up on useful items. You’ll likely want to catch a wide variety of Pokémon, and Incense is a great way to boost that number, so start collecting ahead of time to ensure you don’t run out. Other helpful items to have handy include Incubators to help take advantage of the halved Hatch Distance, and Star Pieces and Lucky Eggs to maximize the Stardust and XP you gain from catching Pokémon and participating in raids.
-
Start strategizing. Research tasks commonly include evolving and powering up Pokémon, so if you have your eye on some Pokémon you’d like to evolve and power up, create tags for them so you can easily find these Pokémon when the task comes your way. You’d also do well to practice your Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws—research tasks often challenge you to make these in succession!
-
Prioritize self-care. Plan snacks and meals ahead of time, stay hydrated, and don’t forget your sunscreen if you’re planning on being outside during the event. And remember to take breaks! It may be hard to step away from the excitement for even a few minutes, but you’ll likely enjoy yourself more if you do.
