A popular fashion retailer is planning to open three more stores in the United States before the end of April, including one store in New York City.
The Japanese clothing apparel store UNIQLO offers high-quality clothing designed for everyday life.
After opening two new stores in New York City — at Bryant Park and in Williamsburg — UNIQLO will open another store in the five boroughs. The Union Square storefront will officially on April 3.
UNIQLO will also open a Chicago store on Michigan Avenue on March 27, and it will open a Boston store in Downtown Crossing on April 10.
According to a press release, a fourth store located in New York City at the World Trade Center is set to open later this year.
“Celebrating 20 years in New York City is deeply meaningful for us, and 2026 marks an exciting next chapter for UNIQLO in the U.S.,” said Fuminori Adachi, UNIQLO USA CEO. “Each new store opening is a thoughtful step forward for our brand. As we expand, we remain focused on opening stores in markets that matter most to our customers, where we can deliver the full UNIQLO store experience and build lasting relationships with local communities.”
UNIQLO opened in the Staten Island Mall in New Springville in May 2024.
It marked a return for the retailer to Staten Island after it operated at the Mall more than a decade ago. That first store closed in 2016.
UNIQLO was founded in Japan in 1984 and now operates more than 2,500 stores worldwide, including 78 in the United States, with more opening in 2026.
