This MSI Aegis RS2 gaming PC is curretly on sale at Newegg, and reduced from $2,699.00 to $1,929.00. While the orginal price could arguably be a bit of stretch, consdiering what you’re getting for well under $2,000, this deal is well worth checking out. Now the Aegis RS2 lineup is more a premium series, designed with high-end performance and premium build quality in mind, which is one of the reasons this build is a little more pricey than your typical prebuild. Key features of this MSI Aegis RS2 RTX 5070 gaming PC

RTX 5070 graphics card

This PC features the RTX 5070, which is one of the best graphics cards to go for if you’re looking for brilliant 1440p performance in the mid-range. Since it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, you’re getting faster, higher bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, all of which come together for a solid generational leap in performance. Notably, the 50-series’ advanced AI capabilities extend to its exclusive MFG upscaling, which can be used to boost perceived framerates higher in-game. With 4GB more VRAM than the RTX 5060 Ti (12GB vs 8GB), it’s a preferable choice for more demanding content creation workloads, too, such as video editing and even working in 3D. The RTX 5070 Ti 16GB would be better, but the RTX 5070 is still a solid option that won’t completely break the bank. Check out our full review here for more details.

Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor

You’ve got an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K in this PC, which is a very good option to go for if you’re looking a well-balanced CPU for gaming and non-gaming tasks. It features 20 cores (8P and 12E) and 20 threads, which is significantly more than the popular alternative, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This makes it very adept for multitasking, so if you’re gaming and recording, streaming, running Discord in the background, this a great option. Similarly, its higher core count and excellent multicore performance, make it a good option for those using Premiere Pro and Blender, allowing for speedier rendering times, faster exports, and more. On the gaming front, it has boost clock speed of 5.5 GHz and a large 30MB L3 cache, which makes it excellent for high framerate gaming at 1440p and 4K, with low frame latency. This CPU is often found paired with the RTX 5080, so it’s more than enough for the RTX 5070’s capabilties. Check out our full review here for a deeper dive.

32GB of DDR5 and 2TB of storage

This is where this gaming PC stands out from your typical offerings, as it goes all-in with storage and RAM. You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which is going to improve gaming performance, especially with openworld titles, give plenty of headroom for new, demanding AAA releases, allow for quicker editing of larger more complex files in creative applications, and help keep everything running smoothly when multitasking, streaming, and more. Its storage is also a winner, as it’s enough to build a fairly substantial gaming library, and still have room for other files, such as various video or content creation projects.

Things to consider

In short, for flat-out gaming performance, you may want to go for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5070 gaming PC build instead. This will be better for high framerates with very low frame latency, as it will feature a massive 96MB L3 cache and 5.2Ghz boost clock, with improved thermals over the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, too. The trade off, is that you’re going to getting a smaller core and thread count, at 8 and 16. Here’s a Thermaltake gaming PC that’s currently on sale at Newegg, that fits the bill. One thing I’d say is that this MSI PC is a bit more expensive than your typical RTX 5070 option, and it’s veering into RX 9070 XT territory. if you’re after more VRAM and better 1440p and 4K performance, you may want to scope out some of these RX 9070 XT gaming PC builds, especially if you’re comfortable paying closer to $2000.
