Princess Olympia of Greece traded her stilettos for hiking boots for an adventurous holiday with her younger brothers, Prince Constantine Alexios and Prince Achileas-Andreas. The 29-year-old, who is also a fashion model and among the best-dressed royals, scaled up giant rocks, rode horses through a canyon and relaxed on a boat on a recent action-packed family trip.
Olympia, who is the eldest of five siblings and the only daughter of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece and Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, shared a collection of breathtaking photos from what appeared to be the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, though she did not tag the location in her post. The royal geared up in leggings and proper walking shoes for a sunny day exploring the rocky landscape – and her pet dachshund even made a cameo in one action shot from the hike.
The royal explored more of the incredible scenery on horseback, still looking effortlessly stylish in a red flannel and jeans with a pair of sunglasses on. In another photo, she rugged up in a crew neck jumper for a boat day on the river.
Olympia’s two other brothers, Prince Odysseas-Kimon and Prince Aristidis-Stavros, appeared to miss out on the trip. The Greek Royal Family reportedly divide their time between London and New York, with Olympia being based in Notting Hill.
Olympia’s modelling journey
Olympia has been modelling for around a decade and has walked runways and graced the cover of Hello! Fashion back in 2021. After growing up with a fashion designer in the family and going to couture shows from the age of 11, she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2016 with her cousins, Isabel Getty and Talita von Furstenberg.
She’s since walked the runway for designer labels like Dolce & Gabbana and appeared in Louis Vuitton’s Capucines bag campaign in 2021.
“It was insane and so much fun riding the Louis Vuitton bike, it was the biggest one I’ve ever seen and, because I was wearing a mini skirt, quite uncomfortable. I had two men to lift me onto it,” she told HELLO! about the campaign, which was shot in Paris.
Fashion runs in the family
The royal has inherited her eye for fashion from her mother, Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, who is a designer. Marie-Chantal founded her own eponymous high-end clothing label in 2000, which designs luxury children’s wear.
Olympia’s aunt Alexandra also had ties to the fashion world, marrying Prince Alexandre von Furstenberg, who is the son of Belgian fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, the designer of the wrap dress, in 1995. The couple divorced in 2002.
“I used to love watching my mother getting ready and also my grandmother on my mom’s side. I was obsessed with clothing and trying on their things – there are so many pictures of me as a little girl wearing my mother’s high heels,” Olympia told HELLO! for her November 2021 cover star interview. Marie-Chantal and her two sisters, Pia and Alexandra, are the daughters of American billionaire Robert Miller.
