The RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is one of the best graphics cards you can buy if you’re looking for something punchy for 1080p gaming and decent for 1440p, too. The big thing with this card that makes it worth paying a bit of a premium for, compared to something like the RX 9060 XT 8GB, is that it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture. That means that you’re getting a wave of new features and the latest-gen components, like 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, GDDR7 VRAM, and multi-frame generation upscaling.
AMD Ryzen 7 5700 processor
This is a budget-oriented processor that’s a decent choice for those who need something solid for gaming, productivity, and some moderately demanding multitasking. It features a good core and thread count of 8 and 16, and a very low TDP of 65W, which makes it an efficient (and cost-effective) option, too. For gaming, it’s okay, as it has a fairly modest L3 cache of 16MB and a 4.6GHz boost clock speed. There are better options out there, for sure, but this will do the job for most people without breaking the bank.
Storage and RAM
Fairly modest again here, with only 16GB of RAM, and it’s DDR4. Arguably, for general gaming at the RTX 5060 TI’s target resolution, you don’t need a ton of RAM, and going for DDR4 is a good way of keeping costs low. It has a 1TB SSD, which is fine for most people, and can hold a good handful of large AAA games.
Things to consider
So basically, this is a very budget-friendly RTX 5060 Ti build that does scale back a fair bit in order to keep it under $1,200. It does look the part, but ultimately, you could find something with higher-end components for not that much more spend. If you head around $1,300 and still stick to an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB build, you’d likely find much better processors with higher L3 caches, and also DDR5, too.
