April 6 (UPI) — CBS and Richard Clark Productions announced the host of the American Music Awards on Monday.
Queen Latifah will host the 52nd edition on May 25 at 8 p.m. EDT.
Latifah has performed at the AMAs and co-hosted in 1995 but has never been nominated. She has won a Grammy for 1995’s “U.N.I.T.Y.”
“It’s been an incredible year for music,” she said in a statement. “There is no better place to celebrate than in Vegas.”

The live ceremony will be broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. The awards air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Latifah most recently released an album in 2023 and the single “Live It Up” in 2025.
She also acts, with Oscar and Emmy nominations and 1 Emmy win for producing Bessie, and once hosted a talk show.
