The Toronto Raptors have been one of the surprises in the Eastern Conference. While their roster has talent on it, many NBA pundits thought it was an odd fit with the different players they had added. Instead, they have played well.
Right now, the Raptors sit fourth in the Eastern Conference standings. And yet, they have just the 20th-best offense in the league. If they want to have a shot at winning the East, they need to get some offensive firepower to help them do that. That would mean making a move at the trade deadline.
One wild trade proposal from Bleacher Report has the Raptors winning the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes and bringing him in.

Raptors Add Giannis Antetokounmpo in Wild Trade Proposal
Here is the full trade proposal:
Toronto Raptors receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo
Barrett is someone that Toronto has missed. With him out of the lineup, the Raptors haven’t been able to win as many games. At one point, the Raptors lost five of six games without Barrett in the lineup. They have managed to figure things out recently, though.
The Bucks will only trade Antetokounmpo if he demands a trade, which he has not done yet. He has explored possibly moving teams after the Bucks hit a big slump before he was injured. Antetokounmpo is still dealing with a calf injury.

The Raptors Are Likely to Explore the Trade Market at the Deadline
Toronto has an opportunity to win the East without a clear favorite. The Cavaliers have been extremely disappointing a year after being the clear number-one seed a year ago. New York is still a threat, but the Pistons hold the top spot in the conference at the moment.
Even if the Raptors aren’t able to bring a player as accomplished as Antetokounmpo in, they can still add a player of consequence at the deadline. Toronto would feel more confident if it didn’t have to give up a couple of first-round picks to bring in a player who can help them make a run.
Antetokounmpo wants to go to a team that can compete for championships. He has some level of power, as he will be a free agent after next season. Any team that tries to make a move for him will likely want him to guarantee that he will sign a contract extension.
In any case, Toronto is likely to explore the trade market for an impact player in the next couple of months.
