Rasmus Hojlund: Man United loanee spectacularly returns to form


Manchester United had six players in loan action on Saturday across various European leagues.

The Dane got his SSC Napoli side off to the perfect start with an early goal versus Hellas Verona. Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku scored a late winner to give Napoli a 2-1 win.

The ball deflected to him in the box and he expertly found the corner with a deft header from range.

He had another shot on goal but it was well stopped by the opposition keeper.

Hojlund failed to complete any key passes and was only able to find his target with 52% of his passes.

The striker was incredible in the air though, winning six out of seven aerial duels.

Ethan Ennis

Ennis made an incredible six key passes in Fleetwood Town’s 0-0 draw with Newport County.

He had one shot that hit the woodwork and attempted a huge 18 crosses, but could only find a teammate five times.

Ennis also came out on top in four ground duels but was only successful in one of his five dribble attempts.

Ethan Wheatley

Wheatley played 65 minutes of Bradford City’s 1-2 defeat to Reading.

He did not manage any shots on goal and lost the ball 15 times in an ineffective spell on the pitch.

The young striker made one key pass but was wasteful, completing just 45% of his passes.

Marcus Rashford

Rashford returned from injury and played the final 17 minutes of FC Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Villarreal.

He had one blocked shot and completed two of his three dribble attempts.

The Manchester United academy product also made one key pass and completed 93% of his attempts.

Dan Gore

Gore played 37 minutes of Rotherham United’s 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle.

He completed both his crosses and had three shots on goal.

Gore was also successful in both his dribble attempts and came out on top in three duels.

Ethan Williams

Williams played the final 15 minutes of Falkirk’s 5-1 win over Kilmarnock.

He made one key pass and won 100% of his aerial duels.
